Who am I?
Maama, Aunty Mum, Aunty, Whaea, Broski, Blistah & my nans favourite, Hōhā 😄but most days I’m just Ange. These roles reflect the many relationships and connections that shape who I am and how I work within our community.
At the heart of everything I do is my love for my babies, both laboured and “stolen” along the way through community and connection. Whānau, community, happiness and creating opportunities for others matter deeply to me. Music is also an important part of my life. It helps me stay grounded and keeps my head clear from the noise of the outside world.
As Kaiwhakahaere, I am responsible for the overall coordination and day to day leadership of our kaupapa. My role includes programme planning, workshop development, nurturing partnerships, supporting our rangatahi, tamariki and whānau, managing fundraising and funding opportunities, and helping guide the vision and growth of the organisation.
My goal is simple, to create safe, creative spaces where young people feel supported, valued and inspired to grow.
